You have an appointment with the doctor. You arrive a little early hoping someone cancels or the doctor is running ahead of schedule. (he/she is not) You pick up a magazine and see that it is almost as old as you are but you find something of interest and you focus on it while you wait. (They don’t call them waiting rooms for nothing) The receptionist comes out and apologizes for the doctor who is running behind. You look at your watch and you begin to get agitated. Your time is valuable and you would appreciate it if someone else recognized that as well.
A couple of things need to be considered. First the doctor is not running late because he/she is having coffee and a doughnut while you stew. They do respect your time. Second, I do not want my doctor to rush me out and I bet you are the same. We want our care giver to take time for us. Even if someone is waiting.
The next time you find yourself waiting a little longer, pick up an old magazine that is gracing the rack and find out what was on the mind of the last generation. Be thankful that God has no waiting room. He not only can see you the moment you arrive, but you can stay as long as you wish. You are not imposing on Him.
Come to church and learn more about this.

"Oh..." says the receptionist, "The doctor will see you in 45 minutes to an hour. Want to go out for lunch or something and come back later?"
Now... I do understand what Norm was saying. This, however, is the same doctor that once kept her waiting three and one half HOURS to be seen. My friend who took her there (mid-afternoon) had to call me to come and take over sitting with her (I was at work during her appt) as she had to go home to a dinner!
My wife's doctor is great, so he's worth the wait. So is the Great Physician, and He is -definitely- worth any "wait" to get there.
