Just Too Slow

Odds are that if you are reading this, you're doing so on a computer. Unless some good friend printed this out and brought it to you. Further, it's also likely that the computer you are reading it on is not your first. The first may have been damaged, destroyed by a virus, or some other such calamity. But the most likely reason you replaced it was that it was "Just too slow!"
Ok, sure. Computers do slow down over time. My first computer had a single 4.77 Mhz processor and it seemed like the fastest thing I had ever seen when I got it. That is, until I learned about the dual-speed 4.77 and 10 Mhz machines... :) Wow! TEN Megahertz! I had to have it.
Well, my current computer runs at 2,000 Mhz, and seems slower than mud flowing uphill on a cold day. But it gets the job done, and was wonderful the day I got it, and still is.
Isn't being a Christian like this sometimes? We start off kind of slow. Then we pick up speed and run like the wind for a while, then before you know it, we get "used to" where we're at and don't even realize what we've accomplished, and feel like we're back in the mud.
Take some time to take stock of your life. Where were you a year ago? Two years? Three? Any progress? If not, you need some help... but it could be that you -are- making progress and have just slowed down a little.
Think about it today, are you getting used to where you are, or are you truly stuck in the mud?
