FIREFLIES IN GLADNESS 

GOD'S CHILD, YOU ARE HIS LAUGHTER
Coming on the scented dawn:
The Lord clothe you in glory
As you go forth to honor Him.
In the fairest morning,
Hearken to news proclaimed just to you.
Choose not to love your own delights
Nor go in freedom of your selfish way:
Follow after His promises.
(For they bring a laughter of joy to you.)

GOD'S CHILD, YOU ARE HIS LAUGHTER
In open day: may He
Scoop you up in His everlasting arms;
Crowned shall you be with joy,
As beauty speeds on wings of the morning.
In field of sunshine, rejoice!
Dwell content under shadow of His wings.
Be quiet, hold still -- for you are His.

GOD'S CHILD, YOU ARE HIS LAUGHTER
Of sweetened afternoon. Lo!
When the birds sing sharings from on high --
Leap to your feet for delicious self-worth!
And at suppertimes, God grant
Fireflies garlanding messages in your hair;
May music of His spheres ring you about
As you prepare for holy bed --
For you are Nature's happiness-child
Wrought in His glad way!
 
 

GOD'S CHILD, YOU ARE HIS LAUGHTER

Even when you pick your way through steepy night;
Broodyness shall never lie upon your face.
Though shadows come, or clouds tear,
You still are sheltered by Presence hushed.
And so, let no one name you,
Perchance, "Dark-time Laughter" --
For ever and ever are you filled with His LIGHT.
Be content tonight. Your dear waiting Savior.
Your very Wonder, Christ, is near.
 
 

PRAYER FOR LOVE AND LAUGHTER

Oh, Lord, hold your hand upon ____________.
This is a tumultuous time in history, when we shall be
proud of our heritage, our land, and our God Almighty, the King. "Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven."

Go forth, oh ambassadors.
With sleight and cunning given by the Lord alone -- and
not with those types that the world would measure.
Go forth, oh daughters and sons.
Not as libertarians taking the wrong freedoms, as
undisciplined persons are wont to do,
but as the liberated, taking God's freedom
and giving it everywhere.

Go forth in redeeming love.
For the Father has saved you. He has kept you safe.
He has dismounted your enemies, and armed and alerted your
friends.
 
 

REJOICE, FOR THE FATHER HAS SAVED YOU

Rejoice, for the Father has saved you,
it is he that first forgave you,
and now he does share with you
his holy care for you.
For the Father has saved you.
He has kept you.
He keeps you from falling, always, yet, still.
Again and again he proves himself true.

Here, little children, raise up your gentle spirits
and hear the laughter of the winged things,
the music of the spheres,
And go dancing out in the meadow clear
where the moonlight prances and villages dance
in the shadow of moon and rain.
For the Father has saved you. Ah, bless the Lord,
praise God Almighty. For his is name is All-Love.
 
 

ALL-LIFE

I choose for you, my friend:
Mastery, praisery, stars in your hosiery
And God-glitter-praise through your fingertips,
And laughter delighting your hair,
And His love in your life.
Mystery, happiest history, spill-brimming
with Glories of bittersweet Abundance of Life!

Lift up your heart with unbidden delight,
For the Lord of All-Life, he is your life.
I choose him for you. He is your "aliveness"
and restoration-time.
 
 

SONG OF HAPPINESS

Oh, sing a song of happiness,
It is the life in Christ,
For you are baptised into him,
And that means more than life.
It is not merely "in his name"
that you find sweet release,
But that he has immersed you
In all his powers and Birth;
The fullness of the Godhead lives
Within you bodily,
Because you have been dipped in him,
And he's poured out goodness on you.

Oh, sing a song of happiness:
You are made in image of God!
"Partaker of his divine nature",
His essence and strength bestowed
Within the "who" you've come to be.
God lives within, One-in-one.
He breathes through you and loves
Through you. Oh, all fulfilled!
 
 
 

DAYLIGHT

Daylight springs from the heart of night,
And lights the soul from within.
Hope arises in time of utter need,
And brightens the soul again.
Daystar rises from infertile soil
To bring His Resurrection;
Christ, the Lord be your all in all,
Your only true Salvation.

Day or night: all the same with Him --
He writes your pathways, His plans.
So rest in the Savior's light of joy.
He's not discouraged with your future
And he knows how to bring out "right";
There'll still be God-guided "tomorrow".
 
 

A BLESSING

Bless you, Lord, for bringing new miracle through,
Bless the gifts ______ offers to you,
Bless the sacrifices many Christians have made,
Bring to fruition every plan that you've made.
Bless the money, and bless the hands;
Bless the mind so it understands;
We offer our best of all hope to you;
Now Father forgive us, and carry us through.
Thank you.
Amen.
