Children’s Stamp Ministry How do you turn a USED STAMP into a Ministry? Have you ever stopped to think that a used stamp has a "second life"? And that there are people who make that "revived worth" happen? People who dedicate time & effort to do this are involved in a ministry for the purpose of contributing to the spiritual formation of countless numbers of children & young people in Latin America. The Children’s Stamp Ministry sponsors "Publicacions Alianza" (Alliance Publications), with offices located in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Their web address is: http://www.publicaciones.net/ This project began in 1971, by a woman named Evelyn Neale, to provide these Spanish-language curriculums for Sunday Schools in Latin America. We collect, process & re-sell used stamps to distributors & buyers all over the world. So far sixteen lesson series have been written but over thirty still need to be produced in order to complete the entire curriculum. A small staff of Missionaries & nationals are working to this end. Forty different denominations are supporting this program. Our ministry, "Perhaps Today Ministries" has been involved with the stamp ministry since 1995. We cut, sort & send the stamps on to Evelyn, whose group of volunteers further process them. Over the years, Mrs. Neale has established contact with many stamp distributors & buyers & has made this a very successful ministry. Every year more than $30,000.US is raised from this stamp ministry. It is a very worthwhile endeavor to participate in. Won’t you join us? What to do... Clip & save every canceled stamp you receive, [stamps of any kind or value from all your mail, all letters, post cards, junk mail & packages from anywhere in the world & even repeats). Trimming Instructions: Cut (or tear) the border about ½ inch or more around each stamp if possible. Do not use paper clips, rubber bands, staples, tape or Saran wrap around stamps. Sandwich bags are fine. Do not remove the stamp from the paper it is stuck to, if you can help it. Save up a month’s worth, place stamps in an envelope or box along with a self-addressed, stamped envelope or your email address, so receipt of your stamps can be acknowledged. If you can, please include a one-dollar bill to help us with our postage expenses. Our address is:

So, if you were looking for a ministry…just save & send your canceled stamps to Perhaps Today Ministries for these kids. Feel free to copy & re-post this request anywhere that you like. Encourage your friends, family, colleagues, churches & all the children you know to do the same. If you have an old stamp collection in the attic...get it out...we’d love to have you donate that as well.
SOMETHING NEW...
We are now collecting "Box Tops for Education" coupons;
Campbell Soup Labels; Manufacturer's "Cents Off" coupons;
Gift Cards, Yarn and any other items you wish to donate that
can be sent through the mail & that would help with our
Children's Ministry. If you could save these items for us, please
send them to us with your stamps.
Our heartfelt thanks go to
those of you who are supporting this project on a regular basis.
