Dreams

I was encouraged to watch the movie Patch Adams. The language is bad, the story line was tremendous. Robin Williams plays the role of a medical student who wants to make a difference in the lives of people. He goes to great lengths, as only Robin Williams can, to help patients enjoy living. Everything he did, his studies, his relationships and his unauthorized contacts with patients, were to that end.

One lesson I gained from this motion picture was, what motivates a person will determine ones success in whatever that individual attempts. Most students in the college where Patch w en to school were having some serious difficulty in making the grades. Patch was an honor student The difference was the reason for the education. For most, they simply wanted to be a doctor Patch wanted to help people and he saw his education as a means to an end. He had a dream, and he would not allow anyone or anything to interfere with that dream. Today he runs a very successful hospital in the east.

What is your dream? Have you forgotten what you once wanted to be? Let me encourage you to dream against and turn it over to God and let Him help you to achieve it.
