Garbage Men

There are a number of things I am very grateful for. I have a great wife, two good kids, people who are my friends, a ministry that pays me well and a nation where I can enjoy tremendous freedom. There are many others that time and space will not allow me to list.

One thing I am grateful for is the garbage man. These early morning individuals arrive as dawn is about to break (which means their day began quite early) -and they go about their business picking up all we throw away. It's dirty smelly and sometimes quite messy. Frankly, I would hate to have to do without our garbage service. Just put your leftovers and trash in a can and on an appointed day the truck arrives and when you get up, it is gone.

Don't you wish we could rid ourselves of all the garbage in our lives that way? Go get an empty can and start filling it with hatred, bitterness, malice, unforgiveness, gossip, your hurts, fears and .... (You name it.) No individual can take those things away for you, but God can. He can remove your garbage and fill you with more blessings than you can imagine.
