God Unsanctioned Hatred

Hatred! A word that conjures up images of swastikas, burning crosses, black men and women mistreated, even killed because of the color of their skin, discrimination, and vial abusive speech.

How is it that something like this could exist in America? How is it that people could use God to sanction their hatred?

I may not know the answers to the above questions, but one thing I do know, that God does not give His approval to such behavior. When Jesus was asked what the greatest commandment was. He responded by saying, "Love the Lord Your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment, And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself All the law and the prophets hang on these two commandments." (Matthew 22:3740) Now does that sound like a God who would give credibility to hatred and abuse of people? I don't think so God is a just and losing God. He, from the beginning, has wanted all people to treat each other with dignity, respect and as we ourselves would want to be treated.

It is past time that we get to the heart of the matter and that is the hearts of all individuals. The only one who can do that is Jesus Christ.
