God's World

"This is My Father's World . . ."  Those words have been sung in churches across America for decades.  However, it is one thing to sing the words, quite another to experience the fact that you are helpless to what you face while enjoying various parts of God's Creation. Last week I, along with five others, took our annual trip into the Sister's wilderness.  The wildflowers were in full bloom, the air was fresh and the meadows were a lush green.  There were even places where the snow had refused to succumb to the warmth of the sun and seemed almost defiant of its heat.  While there, we had wind, rain, snow and frost.  At night, the moon came out from behind the clouds and shined as bright as a spotlight.

Sometimes in our hustle and bustle of our every day routine, we forget just how helpless we can be.  We think we have it all together, are in control of our destiny and with all of the modern technology at our finger tips, we can handle anything.  Then, from out of nowhere, we are reminded that "this is my Father's world . . ." and we depend on Him for all we have and are.
