There was a small paragraph in the November 30, 2004 issue of the Oregonian newspaper  under the title "The Edge - Criminally STUPID" that said, "In Wasilla, Alaska, Niccolo Rossodivita, 62, shot Billy Cordova, 40, twice in the chest after Cordova followed him around their house prolonging their argument over Jesus Christ’s correct name." (I have no idea if Cordova is still among the living.)

We have entered the time of year when most Americans are celebrating the coming of God into the world in the person of Jesus of Nazareth. He came into this world to be a blessing, to show us God and to bring joy and happiness to a place where it is lacking.

When the Angels made their presence known and gave the announcement that Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea, the shepherds were amazed and they immediately left for the stable where Jesus and His mother and father would be found. It must have been some sight to behold. Imagine, God in a manger being cared for by human hands. Unbelievable!

What was it those two were arguing over regarding His name is immaterial. I know He came to bless lives and I’m glad He blessed mine. Is He blessing yours?
