In Psalm 19 David speaks concerning the law of God! In the very first verse he speaks of how the heavens declare the glory of God. The next few verses speak of how it shines upon all the earth leaving nothing hidden or unknown! In verses 7-11 he speaks of the things the law of God brings to us–revival, wisdom, joy, enlightenment, righteousness, riches, and warning which brings reward if they are kept! The last verse then says, “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.” Pretty well sums up true wisdom from God and the life of the one that accepts and acknowledges God and His word!

It amazes me that when you then go to Psalm 119, the longest chapter in the Bible, that David throughout this whole Psalm speaks of the value, use and blessings of the word of God! It is that same word that Peter says is NOT of private interpretation, but was breathed of God! Romans 10:9-10 says that is where faith comes and Hebrews 11:6 says faith is necessary to come to God! The word is absolutely our connection to God for knowledge and guidance in the things of God! Paul told Timothy that it is the perfect law of liberty! That liberty is found in the truth which is the word as Jesus spoke of in John 8:32!!

 
Is it any wonder or surprise then that we are to study the Bible to be approved of God as spoken of in II Timothy 3:16-17?? When YOU minimize, ignore, change or pervert, or simply seldom or never touch the Bible, how can YOU then criticize, explain or understand what it says or the One who authored it?? The answer is that YOU cannot!! As Psalm 19 says it has shone in every part of the world and made known all things that pertain to life and godliness as Ii Peter 1 speaks!! There is NO excuse–not even ignorance–that will save YOU on judgment day!! As Acts 4:12 and John 14:6 says–Jesus is the ONLY way and means to come to God!!
Read Psalm 19 and then 119 carefully and think long and hard on what they say!! Then look at YOURSELF, the Bible, God and eternity! What do YOU see?? Heaven or hell? Those are the ONLY choices YOU have!! Choose wisely!!
